GRUST DRIEF? DROOD? NO MATTER WHAT YOU CALL THIS cadavre exquis, TRUST US, IT WON’T ANSWER.

THE FRAMESET

Ever played Exquisite Corpse with your friends? When you draw a head, then fold down the paper so your friend can’t see, then they draw a neck and torso, and so on? You unfold the paper to reveal…lord knows. That’s the fun.

Well, that’s this bike. It began life as a front triangle crafted by Konstantin of Drust Cycles in Berlin. Hand-carried back from BESPOKED in ‘25, the frame sat untouched for months while other projects took precedence. Then, synchronicitously, Adam from San Util got in touch and asked if we wanted to collab on a show bike to demo some super-custom bags for his booth at MADE. One rear end, fork, and a few final touches later, this corpse/collab bike was boxed up and sent West for the world to behold.

I saw so many possibilities for the Pinon equipped front triangle from the get go; a cycle truck with a folding front rack, a 24” ATB, a 32” something. But really, what I’ve always thought would be neat, is a super stripped down ATB with the frame holding multiple bags, keep the majority of the mass in the center of the bike, with the Pinon setting the stage of course. I wanted long chainstays, (500-525mm) track drop outs, QR wheels front and rear and as much rake on the fork as possible. My Cobra fork jig goes to 80mm. So we went to 80mm.

If you have talented friends, make stuff with them.

See this bike in person at MADE PORTLAND 2026, Booth 91.
