THE FRAMESET

For this bike’s rider, we aimed to translate a much-loved 27.5” geometry to 29”, and lose the braze-ons (well, most of them). Austen, the future owner, is a fantastic rider and member of the Colorado Springs bike community, and when we told him we were finally launching our bespoke bike brand earlier last year, he was first in line to help us get things going with a sick build.

The frame is spec’d with oversized Tange and Dedacciai tubing and would happily boast a mid-heavyweight label. An aggressive rider, Austen rarely shuttles, so the aim was to create a bike that would be nimble and agreeable for all-day rides, straddling the hazy line between riding and descending, yet still stout enough for confident downhill lines and anything this maniac will inevitably throw at it (are trail bikes still a thing?).

Outfitted with SRAM UDH, a wireless dropper, and a wireless groupset, the bike’s only braze-on’s are for the rear brake line, and the big, buttery brazes and clear coat reveal carefully shaped contours that compliment the minimal silhouette of the frame. But don’t let this bike’s clean looks fool you– this gentleman will blow up your toilet without asking or spraying.
